If your kids are ages 3-12..this is for you
Â
Hey you,
Yes, you.
I see you,Â
You’re doing the best you can as a parent.
Working long hours, helping with homework, making sure the bills are paid and there’s food in the fridge.
Some days you feel like a great parent, and other days you feel like giving up.
I watched my mom do the same thing.
She raised three boys mostly by herself, and I saw the struggle firsthand.
That’s why I created this Parent Community Town Hall.
To bring parents together, share experiences, and support each other. Because I believe we’re stronger together.
In the meantime, I want to give you something that might help right now.
I started a podcast series called The Proactive Parent, because I believe proactive parenting is the only way to teach your child hard lessons before life teaches them through unnecessary pain.
The very first episode features my good friend Rochelle, a single mom raising her son in Texas. We talk about:
-
The struggles of being a single parent
-
The effects of being raised by parents who rarely ever said "I love you"
-
How she manages power dynamics between her and her son
If you’ve ever felt like parenting is heavier than it should be, I think you’ll really relate to Rochelle’s story.

Talk to you soon,
Devin
P.S. The Parent Town Hall happens next Wednesday. Don’t forget to mark your calendar. In my next email, I’ll share the #1 mistake parents make during back-to-school season (and how you can avoid it).
